This project focuses on strategy and recommendations on low-cost production to provide high value for the next-generation of cruisers.
Project overview
Cruise line wants to remain competitive, reimagine their offerings and appeal to a new audience with innovative experiences, sustainable practices, and enhanced value propositions. I collaborated with a team of designers to sell a project to this client focused on future visioning. In this project, strategy played a big part to produce a roadmap outlining key milestones and deliverables.
The Problem
The cruise line industry has been experiencing a decline due to shifting consumer preferences, rising operational costs, environmental concerns and the impact of global disruptions.

Future visioning
Proposed a future cruise experience that will provide significant business value. By offering innovative and technologically advanced features this cruise company can attract a wider range of customers, including tech-savvy millennials and eco-conscious travelers.

User journey
Created a personalized journey of a user planning a cruise which begins with researching and selecting a cruise line and itinerary that matches their preferences, such as destination, budget, and activities.
They may then use online tools and resources to explore cabin options and book their trip, and receive personalized recommendations and offers based on their preferences and past behavior.
On the cruise itself, the user can enjoy personalized services such as in-cabin dining and entertainment, as well as activities and excursions tailored to their interests. They may also provide feedback and ratings on their experiences, which can be used to further personalize their journey. Cruise service has the ability to track the users activity and be able to act pro-active to improve the overall cruise experience for the customer.

I created a collection of mobile designs for the offline cruise application that prioritizes user personalization to enhance the cruise experience. The app features an intuitive user interface that makes it easy for users to personalize their journey.
The app also offers personalized recommendations and offers based on the user's preferences and past behavior, allowing them to tailor their experience to their liking.
The Challenge
It was challenging to balance innovation and feasibility. Our team wanted to pitch something that we can deliver within client's budget while also meeting the needs of target audience.
Results
We won the cruise line deal with the future vision and plan for implementation. Ultimately this will lead to increased customer loyalty, higher revenues, and improved brand reputation.
Additionally, this can differentiate themselves from competitors and create a unique selling proposition in the highly competitive cruise industry.
